- Get your stuff together! What we mean is put on your best Scouting attitude and “be prepared” with references, your deposit and first month’s rent, employment status proof and your ID
- Look into the Tenancy Protection deposit scheme, and make sure your Landlord has it in place.
- Double-check the inventory, and the state it’s in. If in doubt take pictures to avoid any potential disagreements
- Read and understand your tenancy agreement – yes it may be a long and laborious task, but it protects both you and your landlord. The responsibilities of both parties are likely to be detailed within your tenancy agreement, although some conditions may vary between properties and landlords.
- Moving in or moving out – it pays to be prepared with the physical move and the paperwork/subscriptions/banking/employers/licenses …. the list goes on, but we can help you tick those boxes!
